ABOUT
About us
Our horse sanctuary was created from a deeply personal journey of loss, healing, and hope. In 2004, our founder met a young horse named Nemo, who would later become a source of strength during an unimaginable time of grief after losing a sister to suicide. Through that experience, the powerful healing connection between humans and horses became undeniable.
What began as personal healing has grown into a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to giving second chances—both to horses in need and to people seeking healing. Today, we rescue and rehabilitate horses while offering equine-assisted programs that support emotional, spiritual, and personal transformation.
At our sanctuary, rescued horses become partners in healing. Through programs such as guided meditation, equine-assisted learning, creative expression, and faith-based support, individuals are given a safe space to reconnect, rebuild, and grow.
Your support directly impacts this life-changing work. Every donation helps provide care, safety, and a lifelong home for our horses, while also making it possible for more individuals to access meaningful healing experiences.
Together, we are creating a place where compassion restores lives—one horse and one heart at a time.

OUR MISSION AND VISION
Creating a Space for Safety, Peace, Healing
and Mindful Connections for Horses and Humans
We deeply believe in the value that horses bring as companions, mentors, and healers. Through our work with people, we strive to lead by example and transform our community's perception of the healing power of horses.
Our aim is to uplift the lives of both horses and humans by providing
a place for healing and recovery.
We are driven to create a nurturing environment where horses and humans collaborate to bring about life-altering transformations.

ADAPTABILITY

Adaptability is crucial for us, and living in a competitive community. To stay adaptable, we are flexible and open to new ideas, we continuously learn and improve, and question the status quo. We are open to adaptation means being empathetic and nonjudgmental. Self-confidence and self-awareness are our key to being able to listen and consider others. Being open to adaptation means being empathetic. It means striving to understand others instead of seeking to be understood. The more nonjudgmental you are, the freer your mind becomes.
For us, true hope comes from true faith, which stems from unconditional love and dedication – love for all beings in a gentle, kind, and friendly manner. We should inspire, encourage, and give hope to those we serve. It's important to live with honesty, integrity, and accountability at all times. Having hope involves optimistic thinking and focusing on positive outcomes. Hope is more than just a feel-good emotion; it's an action-oriented strength that motivates and gives us confidence that we can all be healed. It also reminds us that there are many effective pathways to achieve a space for safety, peace, healing, and mindful connections.
Our Values
We have chosen genuineness as our core value. This applies not only to our personal lives but also to our interactions with people, the community, and our horses. By being genuine, open, and honest with others, we believe we can build stronger connections and have a positive impact on each other's lives. Genuineness is about trust and respect. When we are true to ourselves, we not only trust the judgments and decisions that we make, but others also trust us. They will respect us for standing by our values and beliefs. Additionally, when we are authentic, we also demonstrate and
live integrity.

GENUINENESS
Zen is deeply rooted in the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese word, ch'an, which originates from a Sanskrit root denoting "thought," "absorption," or "meditation." At its essence, Zen centers around meditation, highlighting self-control and insight, and a state of meditative calm in which one relies on direct, intuitive insights for both thought and action. Meditation is a profound method for fostering healing, consciousness, and inner peace. Horse meditation circles offer an accessible and impactful avenue for attaining mindfulness and peace. Equine-guided zen, also known as mindfulness meditation with horses, helps train our brain to concentrate and focus on the present. It offers numerous benefits for mental and physical well-being, helping to reduce stress levels and enhance overall resilience.
